Pantheon LARP

To all of our beautiful players, 

 

After lengthy discussions, we as staff have been forced to make one of the hardest decisions regarding this game we have ever had to make. We regrettably will be cancelling the rest of this season. In full disclosure, things have been steadily declining for the game for a time now. We have put our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls into trying to run the best, fairest game we could for you. Unfortunately, poor business decisions, poor location, and poor storage conditions have left us in the last few seasons with almost half of the props and costuming we had originally as well as a game hemorrhaging money to stay afloat. In the last few events we made almost exactly enough to pay for the camp. Adding our storage fees, food budget, as well as miscellaneous items ( paper products, garbage bags, etc.), had they not been donated, means that we have been losing money on every event. 

 

What we are doing though, is finding a solution. We are NOT closing as a game. We are not retiring and throwing our toys away. What we have begun to do, and what we will be continuing to do, is to write a game we love, update our current game into something we can be proud of, rework some mechanics, and be back in May 2016 with a better product at a better camp. We need time to work on the new product and lay the foundation for a game that will be more organized and structured. 

To all of our current players, have no fear. The time, money, and effort you have put into your characters is not wasted. You will be able to keep your characters, pending rewrites for paths that will be changed. Trust us in this, we are not abandoning you. 

 

So, we are sorry this has had to come to this. We are anxious and excited for a brighter future for the game, but are disappointed we couldn't continue running this iteration for you.
